ANIME CHARACTERS WITH THE BIGGEST EGO (THEY'RE AMAZING!!)
1) VEGETA (DRAGON BALL)
"Spend most of your life ruled by another, watch your race dwindle to a handful...and then tell me what has more meaning than your own strength!"
Vegeta used to have it all. He was a prince and a fighting prodigy among his race. He wanted for nothing.
Then a man lifted his finger and none of it mattered anymore.
We don’t know exactly what happened to Vegeta in the PTO, but most people agree it was hell. Instead of being praised he was spat on, and all his power was useless. All he had left was pride. It was the only thing that kept him from breaking.
Vegeta is an asshole. He makes stupid decisions because of his pride, but it’s not a coward’s false courage. Even when he knows he has no chance of winning and he’ll probably die, he never stops fighting. The only time he did was against Frieza, who had been trying to break him for years.
2) GOJO (JUJUTSU KAISEN)
A comedy, action, adventure, and supernatural anime, Jujutsu Kaisen follows the story of high schooler Itadori Yuuji.
Itadori spends his days in the clubroom indulging in idle paranormal activities with the Occult Club. However, when he unwittingly comes upon a cursed object, his peaceful existence takes a weird turn. After eating the cursed object, it is revealed to be a finger belonging to the demon Sukuna Ryoumen, the “King of Curses”.
Yuuji finds himself forced into the world of Curses—dreadful entities born by human hate and negativity—triggering a sequence of extraordinary events. Being introduced to a world secret to human society, Itadori begins his perilous journey as a Jujutsu Sorcerer.
3) SASUKE (NARUTO)
I'm not going to pretend he's humble but, am I missing something? To hear others say it, Sasuke comes across like he begins every fight with a smirk-filled gloat of the power of the Uchiha (something his opponents are more likely to bring up , see Lee and Deidara) before getting his ass-kicked and then bragging afterwards and even during the fight that he could have taken them (Yes, I have seen this argument made).
This is the same guy who admitted he only beat Orochimaru because he was sick despite it being the easiest major fight he has in Shippuden aside from beating up team 7 (he was just mad they replaced him). I mean, his biggest character decision in Part 1 hinged on the fact he believed he was weak. And part 2 is where he acts the least egotistical.
Points where I will admit some ego on Sasuke's part:
His fight with Lee, not forgetting that Lee sought him out specifically to kick his ass. And even after that, he put Lee on his list of people to watch out for.
Half his conversations with and about Naruto. The other half is them becoming friends.
Choosing not to fall back when Zetsu ratted him out to the Gokage while he was trying to assassinate Danzo.
I suppose it'd be more accurate to say he underestimates his opponents (Lee and Bee, hey that rhymed, adult Sasuke better watch out for Kashin Koji, oh wait), but even then, he takes his fights seriously.
I mean look at how he acts when he fights Deidara. He was on top of it, but he maintained his stoic attitude without so much as a smirk.
4) SOSUKE AIZEN (BLEACH)
"No one stands on the top of the world. Not you, not me, not even gods, but the unbearable vacancy of the throne in the sky is over. From now on, I will stand atop Heaven."
At first, Aizen presented himself as the affable and gentle Captain of the 5th squad. During the Soul Society arc, he faked being murdered for investigating the Government Conspiracy behind Rukia Kuchiki's unusually harsh treatment by Central 46 following her arrest. In truth, he masterminded said conspiracy in an elaborate gambit to acquire the Hogyoku which opposing Chessmaster Urahara Kisuke had hidden in Rukia's gigai in an equally elaborate bid to destroy it.
After revealing himself and retreating from Soul Society, he takes up residence in the world of Hollows, Hueco Mundo, and uses the aforementioned MacGuffin to create the Arrancar army in hopes of eventually finding the King's Key and becoming 'the one to stand atop heavens'. He is noted for his extraordinarily powerful abilities, Kick the Dog tendencies, elaborate schemes, and mysterious aura.
His Zanpakuto, Kyoka Suigetsu, lets him manipulate his opponents with near-perfect illusions. As he fuses with the Hogyoku, he progressively transforms into monster-like forms, which grant him absurd levels of power.
5) TOBIO KAGEYAMA (HAIKYUU)
Tobio Kageyama is the deuteragonist of the Haikyū!! series. For the majority of the series, he is a first-year student at Karasuno High School and plays as the starting setter for the boys' volleyball club.
He was chosen to train at the All-Japan youth training camp during his first year of high school and joined the V League as soon as he graduated. He became a part of Japan's national volleyball team at the age of 19, participating in the Rio Olympics in 2016.
In November 2018, he was playing as a setter for the Japanese V-League Division 1 team Schweiden Adlers. Currently, he is a member of Ali Roma, an Italian professional team in Italy Serie A.
6) LIGHT YAGAMI (DEATH NOTE)
Most fundamentally, I would say he’s a narcissist, or someone who experiences near perpetual mania that leads to delusions of grandeur. He’s too young to be diagnosed with psychopathy —
he’s a teenager and you have to be twenty five to fit that diagnosis. He might show some characteristics of a future psychopath, but it’s difficult to speculate. Most clearly, though, he has delusions of grandeur possibly from narcissism or mania.
7) DIO BRANDO (JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURES)
Dio Brando is one of anime's most evil characters and the foremost antagonist of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. Even after his defeat, his influence was pervasive across multiple parts of the story.
As excellent of a villain as Dio might have been, there were still moments when he fell short. Whether through sheer incompetence or simply things not making any sense, Brando is far from a perfect foe. By juxtaposing the best parts of the villain with the worst, one can accurately assess the highs and lows of Dio's notorious legacy.
8) KATSUKI BAKUGO (MY HERO ACADEMIA)
Katsuki is a crude, arrogant, short-tempered, and aggressive person, especially at the beginning of the series. Katsuki tends to come off as unheroic. This problematic behavior goes all the way back to his early childhood days when he was known to bully a young, Quirkless, Izuku Midoriya.
He showed to be extremely arrogant and condescending to those around him, often bragging of his Explosion Quirk's power, and even boasting that he would take on his entire middle school class. He showed open hostility towards Izuku, mainly because of his former Quirkless status, and would frequently put down his dream of becoming a Hero, despite lacking a Quirk, and also gave him the insulting nickname Deku (meaning useless and unable to achieve anything). He even threatened Izuku not to apply to U.A. High School and became angry upon both of them passing the Entrance Exam, wanting to be the only person from his middle school to make it there.
However, after being accepted into U.A. and experiencing several personal defeats, one of them even coming from Izuku, Katsuki has gradually changed into a less antagonistic person, albeit still retaining a lot of his unpleasant traits. While often portrayed negatively, Katsuki's fierce character and competitive drive have actually granted him an important role among Class 1-A, as a sort of inspirational mood-maker.
9) GILGAMESH (FATE SERIES)
Gilgamesh, also known as Archer, is the secondary antagonist of Fate/Zero and Fate/stay night. … He is also the overarching antagonist of both stories because of his role in corrupting Kirei Kotomine, the main antagonist in both stories.
Then, Who is the strongest servant in fate?
Gilgamesh is by far one of the strongest servants in all of the Fateverse.
in addition Why is Gilgamesh so evil?
At first, Gilgamesh’s oppressive behavior, particularly his habit of claiming bride-rights, has his people entreating the gods for mercy. … Finally, his grief over Enkidu’s death leads him to the sage Utnapishtim, whose teaching allows Gilgamesh to overcome his arrogance and fear of death.
furthermore Why is Gilgamesh bad?
Although he was a powerful king, he was not a great king. He had some good traits, such as being a leader, and fighting evil powers. He tormented his people, oppressed them them, exhausted them in daily life and in combat, and he gave himself the right to sleep with any unmarried woman.
Who kills Gilgamesh?
In this excerpt, the goddess Ishtar has fallen in love with the hero, Gilgamesh. When he rejects her, she sends the Bull of Heaven to kill Gilgamesh and his friend, Enkidu. They, however, kill the Bull, but afterward Enkidu dies at the hands of the gods.
10) BLACK STAR (SOUL EATER)
Black Star is the overall deuteragonist in the anime/manga series Soul Eater. He is a ninja from the destroyed Star Clan who thrives to surpass the gods. His weapon partner is Tsubaki Nakatsukasa.
He was voiced by Yumiko Kobayashi in Japanese and Brittney Karbowski in English.
