5 MANGAS BETTER THAN THEIR ANIME ADAPTATIONS !!

1) TOKYO GHOUL

Tokyo Ghoul tells the story of Ken Kaneki, a university student, who after being attacked by a ghoul (supernatural beings who survive eating human flesh and hide in the secret among humans) manages to save himself by a transplant that makes him half-ghoul. Now Kaneki must have a new life hiding his identity among the dark streets of Tokyo.

Set in a world where humans live in constant fear of ghouls - superpowered humanoid beings who feed on human flesh to survive, a shy college student named Kaneki Ken, who is nearly killed in an attack by one of these monsters, becomes a half-ghoul himself after receiving an organ transplant from the ghoul. Realizing what has become of him, Kaneki is forced to adapt to his new lifestyle whilst avoiding two relentless police officers who want to exterminate all ghouls from their world.

2) BERSERK

Is a man's willpower truly his own, or is it at the mercy of God alone? The world of a soldier only knows one truth: survival is the only thing that really matters on the battlefield. With his sword in tow, a lone warrior known only as 'Guts' becomes part of a mercenary group called the Band of the Hawk. Will this soldier finally realize his purpose and find solace in this new group of devoted warriors?

Guts was brought up by a mercenary group since birth. After killing his guardian in self-defense, he runs away. Years later, he encounters Griffith and The Band of the Hawk. The Hawks fight for the King of Midland, and after winning the 100-year war against the neighboring empire, they become the King's personal guard. However, once they reach the top, things take a turn for the worse.

3) MY HERO ACADEMIA

Mankind has developed superpowers known as "Quirks"; this is the power the vast majority possesses, those who do not, are being discriminated against and looked down on. Indeed, villains have the superpower, too and want to rebuild the world for it to look the way they see it. However, a prestigious school known as the Hero Academy trains its students for them to become heroes and to help those who have less powerful Quirks, or those who do not have them at all, as well as to stand against the plans of the villains.

The series focuses on a middle school student Izuku Midoriya, who has no superpowers. Will he be able to become a hero and somehow to contribute to the peace and stability in the world, where the weak is the minority that needs to be defended.

4) MONSTER

Dr. Kenzo Tenma, a young but extremely talented neurosurgeon, lives his life working in a hospital in Germany. He is respected by his superiors for his incredible surgical skills, envied by his peers and he is engaged to the daughter of the hospital director. But one day his bright future changes when a little boy is brought in with a serious head injury, along with his twin sister, the aftermath of a family massacre. He is faced with a huge dilemma when his superior orders him to abort the boy's surgery and operate on the mayor instead, who was brought in much later. He decides that "all life is equal" and goes against his superiors to save the boy's life (who arrived first), which ultimately results in the mayor's death.

The boy survives, leaving Tenma's career in ruins, his engagement to his fiancé broken. His downward spiral begins when one night, while he is out cold in a drunken stupor, the twins vanish from the hospital and Tenma's superiors - along with the hospital director - are found dead. Tenma, having no alibi and the only one with motive, is the prime murder suspect.

He goes into hiding and vows to find the twins and prove his innocence. Little did he know, that this is only the beginning of a terrifying journey through countries, buried secrets and the dark depths of the human psyche.

5) HORIMIYA

Two very different people - an academically successful schoolgirl and a quiet loser schoolboy - meet and develop a friendship. At first glance, the ultra-popular Kyoko Hori seems like a frivolous high school girl, but in reality, she's simple, pragmatic, and family-oriented. On the other hand, the bespectacled Miyamura Izumi comes across as an average, gloomy high school fanboy, but he's actually an attractive young man who has a bad-boy streak and is covered in piercings and tattoos.

When these two unexpectedly similar classmates have a random run-in outside of the classroom, a bubbly, sweet tale of school life begins.
