TOP 5 MOST NOSTALGIC ANIMES FOR YOU (FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD)

Teenagers like us have been watching cartoons long before we even knew what anime or manga was. It doesn't matter whether you're from India, America, Europe, Japan or any other country of the world, you must have watched animes in your childhood that make you nostalgic now.

So, here is our list for the Top 5 most nostalgic animes that will make you remember your childhood.

1) DORAEMON

Do you guys even know that Doraemon is the 6th most longest running anime of all times? It is even bigger than One Piece (in case you guys didn't knew that) with a total of 1,789 episodes by now. The original run of Doraemon ran for over twenty-five years which accounts for it having so many episodes. The story follows the adventures of Nobita and the titular robot Doraemon as he tries to guide his young ward to make better choices so his descendants in the future won't live in poverty.

Doraemon's four-dimensional pocket leads to many odd and endearing scenarios as just about anything can appear from it. The show was so popular it got a reboot of sorts, following the story of the original anime but with a new animation style and other changes.

Doraemon is a staple of Japanese TV, having been on the air for decades. The first series aired in 1973, lasting 26 episodes. The series was revisited in 1979 and ran until 2005. The current Doraemon anime started that same year and hasn't shown any signs of slowing down since. It should be noted that most episodes consist of two individual stories, so technically they can be taken as standalone entries in the series.

Doraemon's adventures with Nobita have inspired a wide range of manga, films, and video games. Like many of the longest-running anime out there, the series is aimed towards children and has maintained a loyal following over the years.

2) SHINCHAN

Shinchan or Crayon Shin chan is the 14th longest running anime with 1065+ episodes and is truly an iconic anime for sure. The series stars the titular Shin-chan and his daily adventures alongside his family and friends.

Shin is a mischievous little boy with a peculiar way of speaking that makes him one of the more distinctive characters in anime. The series' popularity has spawned various spin-offs as well as films and video games. Apart from the series, there are numerous amount of Shinchan movies that you can see if you want to revisit your nostalgia, coz rewatching such a huge anime is not possible for most of us.

3) KITERETSU

Kiteretsu is one of my favourite series as i really loved watching it in my childhood whenever i came back from the school. This anime and it's characters are very similar to the Doraemon but the story and premises are very different. This series has 331 episodes which are all available on Youtube.

The main character of this series is a scientific genius boy named Kiteretsu, who has built a companion robot named Korosuke. He frequently travels in time with his friends and Korosuke in the time machine he built. Miyoko is a girl in his neighborhood who is basically his girlfriend. Tongari is his rival, who happen to share some similar traits of Honekawa Suneo.

Buta Gorilla (Kumada Kaoru) is a typical neighborhood bully, who also share similar traits of Gian (Takeshi Goda) except that he often antagonizes Korosuke (though they are in grade school).

4) HAGEMARU

Well well well, let me tell you something buddy. If you haven't watched this masterpiece in your childhood then believe me dude, you have missed a whole lot of fun that should have been yours.

The story revolves around a young boy named Hagemaru, and the exploits of his notoriously greedy family. This is an extremely funny anime which shows the greediness of Hagemaru and his family. This was one of my favourites too when i was a child (forget about childhood, this is still one of my most favourites). Each episodes brings new funny story to you and specially the opening of Hagemaru was what amazed me.

I don't know about other countries but in India =, "Hage" means 'Poop' and "Maru" means to 'to throw'. So, the names itself was quite sufficient to make any Indian laugh and the way it was dubbed in Hindi was also super funny. It has 62 episodes which you should watch to bring all your childhood memories back.

5) DRAGON BALL

Dragon Ball is definitely one of the most nostalgic anime which is still going strong and is also one of the longest animes of all times. Well forget about Dragon Ball Super, where the story is to just power up and somehow defeat your opponent by unlocking your power, which i don't know where it comes from.

Here, i'm only talking about the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z series which we used to watch when we were children. This story contained a proper storyline with some of the nastiest action and fight and also came with sarcastic reliefs. So, i definitely  recommend you revisiting this masterpiece. Personally i will say that you should only watch it till the Dragon Ball Z arc and i believe that everything after Z is bullshit. So, do visit your nostalgia and watch Dragon Ball.

The story of Dragon Ball follows the life of Son Goku, a monkey-tailed boy loosely based on the traditional Chinese folk tale Journey to the West, from his life and adventures as a child all the way up to being a grandfather
