MOST LOYAL ANIME CHARACTERS OF ALL TIMES !!

1) MIKASA ACKERMAN (ATTACK ON TITAN)

There is a big question that "Does Mikasa protects Eren just because of her Ackerman instincts or is it because she loves him?"

The answer is that Mikasa is so loyal to Eren because...

Because she just likes him so much.”

I think the answer can be found in the question itself. Mikasa's behaviour towards Eren is the result of the feelings a person has for her love interest.

Eren is lying and Mikasa's feelings for Eren have nothing to do with her surname. Confirmed by Zeke Yeager, months before Eren talked to Mikasa.

Ok, there are misunderstandings here. First, according to Eren, an Ackerman needs a host to awaken the Ackerman’s power and will serve that person unconditionally, which means an Ackerman will be loyal to only one person, not all of the Ackermans serve Eren. Second, he lied to Mikasa. It’s true that Ackerman clan needs hosts to awaken their power, but that’s it. They need the feeling of protecting someone to get access to the Ackerman superhuman power and done, there’s nothing like unconditional service like Eren said. Mikasa’s action are based purely on her love towards Eren.

It’s her love that makes her overprotect him. Eren insulted Mikasa so that she can live her life without concerning about him.

2) ZORO (ONE PIECE)

Zoro is so loyal towards Luffy because Zoro holds a lot of respect for Luffy as his Captain and has seen him showcase his will and power. But what truly connects Zoro and Luffy is their dreams.

Zoro wants to be the strongest swordsman in the world. He has seen the top in his duel with Mihawk, and instead of quitting, this made him swear on Luffy's honor to never lose since it would reflect badly on Luffy. Why is that?

Luffy and Zoro bot have crazy dreams. One wants to be a Pirate King, the other wants to be the Best Swordsman. When they first met, Luffy saved him. And once Zoro told him of his dream, he acknowledged it, accepted it, and is helping him achieve that goal, by just letting himcsee the world and fighting battles that push him further.

Overtime, Zoro was able to see the lengths that Luffy goes for his friends. He respects his position as a captain and even helps Luffy to be a better leader. And Zoro knows well, he isn’t anywhere near challenging Mihawk. So if he couldn’t fulfill his dreams, he’d propel Luffy's. That’s why he offered his life to Kuma.

They have been together the longest, and have been through many things. And it all started with two impossible dreams.

3) TANJIRO KAMADO (DEMON SLAYER)

Lots of you might not agree. But this is who I believe had the most amazing character development.

At the start of the show, Tanjiro left his home without even knowing that his family would be slaughtered by Demons. He didn’t know that if he stayed behind, he might have prevented it from happening. So he went out.

By the time he wanted to come back home, it was almost dark, so he stays at his uncle’s house.

When morning comes around, he returns home, only to find dead bodies of his family smeared with blood. His mother, father and younger siblings, all dead. Fortunately, his younger sister Nezuko’s body is still warm, so he picks her up and dashes to the village in the hopes of saving her, but then she wakes up and tries to kill him, because she’s turned into a Demon.

At first Tanjiro is sad and confused about why this is happening. But after becoming a Demon Slayer, he puts aside his somewhat cowardly personality and learns to move on with the death of his family. Fighting alongside his sister Nezuko, Tanjiro develops into a strong character who is willing to sacrifice his life to save others. He is a kind, loyal and patient friend to all and will feel sympathy for everyone (sometimes even to Demons, but he will still not hesitate to kill them).

Being able to move on with your family’s death that fast is pretty amazing. To see how much he’s developed in such a short time also amazes me. The series has already ended, but Tanjiro will remain one of my most favourite protagonists of all time. He has all the amazing qualities that make him a well-developed character.

4) GENOS (ONE PUNCH MAN)

To anyone who doesn’t know what that is, it’s basically when a show takes a character, make them initially come off as strong and badass, and then proceed to constantly use them to demonstrate how dangerous every new threat that appears is by having it kick their ass.

This was named after Warf of ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’, who was supposedly a badass Klingon warrior who was the Enterprise’s Security Chief, but ended up as a joke among fans because his actual onscreen combat record tended to involve him getting beaten by just about every alien threat that ever came along.

Genos is extremely loyal towards his master Saitama and believes in him as much as his god. He can do anything for Saitama and to protect his people.

Most of the threats that Genos gets beaten by are really powerful, to the point that it usually takes Saitama himself to eventually come along and do his thing to put them down. For example, he actually put up a good fight against the Deep Sea King, and probably could’ve beaten him in ideal circumstances.

However, his tendency to drop his guard and then taking the acid attack meant for a bystander ruined that chance. I’d venture a guess that, with his weaponry, had he had the chance to fight Melzargard, he probably could’ve killed him faster than the S-Rank heroes that actually took him on did.

5) MISA AMANE (DEATH NOTE)

If you've watched Death Note, then you do not need an explanation on how loyal Misa is towards Light Yagami. She is so loyal that she even commits suicide when she hears about the death of her beloved Light Yagami.

Although Light was a complete jerk to her and he never respected her, he always used her for his own benefit but still Misa was so loyal to Light that she could go to any extent to prove her loyalty and she did.

Misa gets a Death Note and even a lifeline of a Shinigami who loved her so much that he died for her even though he was a god of death. Misa also shortened half of her lifetime to get  Shinigami eyes so that she could help Light in his mission. Although we can say that she almost had infinite life as she inherited the life of a Shinigami.

But then also, to sacrifice half of your life for your lover is quite a big deal. Misa had immense respect for Light because he gave her Justice by killing  the criminals who killed her parents. But apart from respect, Misa was also a fangirl of Kira and his ideology, also the awesome looks of light and his genius level intellect were  some factors that were enough to get any girl in this world.
