TOP 5 ANIME CHARACTERS THAT ARE IMMORTAL (FAN FAVOURITES)

Immortality is a time-old idea that has always amused mere mortals like us. From centuries old stories of Ramayana, Mahabharat, Bible, etc. to stories written by modern writers, Immortality has always remained a topic of discussion.

Even though humans have been discussing the idea of immortality since the beginning of their civilization, there are some anime characters that have reached immortality

So, here is a list of Top 5 fan favorite anime characters that are immortal! The list will amaze you, let's go :-

5) ZOMBIEMAN (ONE PUNCH MAN)

Zombieman is an S-rank hero in One Punch Man. He has ridiculously fast regeneration, which allows him to recover from all kinds of injuries. The power of regeneration makes Zombieman a troublesome opponent as he has can recover quickly, which makes it incredibly tough for an opponent to escape. These regeneration powers also make it nearly impossible for him to die.

Since he is not physically as strong as the other S-Rank heroes, Zombieman uses other methods to fight his foes. He's been seen dual-wielding blades, as well as using long-range weapons.

Zombieman has scruffy short black hair, red eyes, and pale skin. He wears a worn-out open gray trench coat over his black singlet, with tan stitched pants and a thick brown belt. He has belts wrapped around his body under his coat and wears tanker boots. He sometimes smokes a cigarette. Before his battle with Homeless Emperor, Zombieman had a Y-shaped scar on his chest that he couldn't heal, indicative of an autopsy.

4) YMIR (ATTACK ON TITAN)

Many people will ask that if Ymir is immortal or not? Well, if we look at the story, she is not technically immortal as she is already dead but as a founding Titan, her soul is always connected with all other titan forms and she literally is immortal because her soul is immortal. So, we can say that she is a Immortal character even though she is not alive.

Well AoT itself is rather an unorthodox anime series and it's characters are very deeply and passionately written by Isayama. So, the beauty of the character of Ymir is that she lives on as a slave to serve all the titans even though she died.

Ymir Fritz was small in stature with light hair. She had straight cut bangs with shoulder-length hair that later grew down to her shoulder blades with age. As a slave, she wore tattered clothing with a cloth headband, sash belt, and leather sandals laced above her ankles. After entering the favor of the Eldian King in adolescence and adulthood, Ymir wore a sleeveless dress with thin decorative bands around each arm. Like all slaves of the Eldian tribe, her tongue was cut out when she was captured, though it may have regenerated after acquiring the power of the Titans.

3) OROCHIMARU (NARUTO)

Orochimaru turned out to be one of the most dangerous villains iNaruto. He was a part of the Legendary Sannin, and was even offered the position of the Hokage, but Orochimaru was only interested in prolonging his life and thus, he is the first character in the list which is not born immortal (hush). In pursuit of his goal, Orochimaru committed countless inhumane experiments in order to find a way to become immortal. Eventually, he managed to find a technique that allowed him to move from one body to another, thus achieving eternal life. So, even though he is not technically immortal and can be killed but the guy is literally immortal because he can transfer his soul from one body to another.

During the episode, Sasuke comes to slay Orochimaru before he attempts to take over the young Uchiha’s body. During their confrontation, the Legendary Sanin attempts the transfer ceremony; however, Sasuke is too powerful and resists the Jutsu and seemingly kills Orochimaru to end the fight.

While his body was destroyed, Orochimaru wasn’t completely killed off in this fight, but rather was instead sealed within the curse mark. During Sasuke’s fight with Itachi, due to his exhaustion and lack of chakra, Orochimaru emerges once again but is quickly sealed away by Itachi’s Susanoo’s Toska Blade.

Later, Orochimaru is revived completely by Sasuke using some of Kabuto’s DNA along with Anko’s cursed mark to activate the Evil Releasing Jutsu. After returning through this Jutsu, Orochimaru has remained alive and can be seen in Naruto‘s follow-up, Boruto

2) RYUK (DEATH NOTE)

Ryuk is among the one of the most famous characters in the anime world. He is a God of Death, who appears in the legendary anime Death Note. After stealing a second death note, Ryuk throws it in the human world where Light picks it up. Ryuk sticks with Light and sees how things will plan out. As a God of Death, Ryuk is immortal and cannot be killed until he wishes to die in love of someone (who he will definitely never do lol). So, basically he can never be killed and is thus an Immortal.

Ryuk is a fairly humanoid looking Shinigami. He is extremely slim and has light gray skin, almost blue eyes, with spiky black hairs. Although his limbs are abnormally long and he wears rings on his limbs. He has retractable feathers on his back that allows his to fly.

1)  ZENO (DRAGON BALL SUPER)

Talk about a more amazing character than Zeno to start your list with. Dragon Ball Super is an extreme Action based Anime series which has given us some of the most powerful and Gangsta characters out of all anime universe. Even though the main character of the series is the fan favorite character Goku and Vegeta but the power of immortality is enjoyed by the Omni King Zeno.

Grand Zeno is the ruler of all the multiverse and the most powerful character being in the Dragon Ball Universe (well until the time comes when Goku somehow turns out to be more powerful than him lol). Zeno co-rules jointly with his future counterpart.

Zeno is very short and small, with a rather large oval-shaped head. He primarily has sky blue skin, except for two sections from his ears to the middle of each eye on both sides of his head, which are purple. He has small round eyes, and small rounded grey "ears". His main attire is a magenta and yellow lined coat, with yellow pants and magenta shoes. He wears a black and white shirt underneath, with the kanji for "all" (全) on the front.
